Rockwood (Acrylic on canvas 30" X 40") This image is a depiction of the early morning when all is quiet near Rockwood Ontario, Canada. Because of the weather conditions and the time of day, the distant trees were all very dark as a group, but could be seen individually at a close look.
The challenge in this was to make sure that tonally each tree could be seen without combining them too much. The ripples in the water were also a thought out process in order to get it right along with the rocks at the bottom of the lake in the foreground. This was very satisfying to see to completion.
