Coles Point (Oil on canvas 24" X 48") This image is a depiction of Coles Point near Campbellford Ontario, Canada. The inviting boat dock during the early morning sunrise was what I wanted to capture here. As the sun was shining the calm water appeared almost like glass for as far as the eye could see, a rare sight where three rivers converge. The challenge in this image was rendering the distant mist that rolled in overnight and quickly disappearing. I really enjoyed the colorful trees and the reflections. I made sure that every little stick and twig was accounted for on the dock, and did my best to keep each plank of wood straight. Thoroughly enjoyed working on this one.
